New book out: Spatial Cultures

A new book has been published by Routledge:

Spatial Cultures

Towards a New Social Morphology of Cities Past and Present

co-edited by Sam Griffiths (UCL) and Alexander von Lünen, Senior Lecturer in Digital Humanities at the University of Huddersfield. The book deals with the concept of “space” used in various disciplines, such as archaeology, history, anthropology, sociology, built environment or digital humanities. Von Lünen’s own chapter in the book deals with so-called Geo-Information Systems in historical scholarship and the pitfalls this presents from a viewpoint of philosophy and history of science.
